I had the most bizarre thing happen to me while driving home yesterday. I was sitting at a red light in the second right lane. The right lane was right turn only, and a steady stream of cars was moving past me turning. An SUV got up to the light, and a guy rolls down the window and starts waving at me. Thinking that there must be something wrong with my car, I roll down my passenger side window. The guy proceeds to ask me if I want a surround sound system installed in my home “because they got an over shipment.” I ended up having to “hang up on him” i.e. just roll up the window, because he didn’t want to hear no. After the fact, I realized that I had been spammed, and just had to wonder how his sales tactics were working for him. I also wondered a bit about how legit his merchandise was.
Weird.
